Tips

Directions
Wash Toor Dal and Rice until water runs clear. Drain and transfer to a pressure cooker.
Add diced vegetables, Water, Turmeric Powder, and Oil. Pressure cook for 4 whistles on medium-high flame. Let it depressurize naturally.
Heat Ghee in a large stock pot.
Fry Cashew Nuts and Peanuts until golden. Set aside.
Add Mustard Seeds, Red Chilies, Curry Leaves, and Asafoetida to the hot Ghee. Stir until Mustard Seeds crackle.
Add diced Tomato, Green Peas, and Salt to the pot. Cook until the Tomato turns mushy.
Add diced Capsicum and cook for a minute.
Strain Tamarind water into the pot, add Jaggery, and cook briefly.
Add the cooked Rice and Dal mixture, along with hot water. Stir well and keep the consistency slightly watery.
Dissolve Bisi Bele Bath Powder in some water and add it to the pot. Stir well, adjust Salt, and cook until the desired consistency is achieved.
Garnish with fried nuts and Fresh Coriander.
Notes
Individuals with nut allergies should avoid this dish due to the presence of cashews and peanuts.
