Ingredients
2
200 grams Bitter gourd
1 piece Cucumber
1 piece Green Apple
half Lemon Lemon
1 inch Ginger
Tips
For a less bitter taste, reduce the quantity of bitter gourd or soak it longer in salted water.
Drink the juice fresh to retain maximum nutrients.
If desired, add a teaspoon of honey for sweetness if you are not managing blood sugar levels.
Directions
Wash all the ingredients thoroughly.
Cut the bitter gourd, cucumber, and apple into small pieces, removing seeds if necessary. Peel the ginger and cut it into smaller chunks.
Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
In a juicer or blender, combine the bitter gourd, cucumber, apple, ginger, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth.
If desired, add honey to sweeten the juice and blend again. Strain the juice using a fine mesh strainer to remove any pulp.
Pour the juice into glasses over ice cubes if preferred. Serve chilled and enjoy the refreshing goodness!
Notes
Pregnant women should avoid bitter gourd juice as it may cause uterine contractions.
Individuals with low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) should avoid it due to its strong glucose-lowering effect.
