Ingredients
4
300 grams Bitter gourd karela
1 Teaspoons Salt
half teaspoon Turmeric
1 teaspoon Red chili powder
Salt as per taste
60 grams Rice Flour
Oil as per taste
Directions
Prepare the Bitter Gourd: Cut the bitter gourd into thin slices and remove the seeds. Marinate the slices with 1-2 teaspoons of salt and let them sit for 1-2 hours. After marination, squeeze out excess water and wash the slices thoroughly.
Seasoning Mixture: In a bowl, mix turmeric, red chili powder, salt (to taste), and rice flour.
Coat the Bitter Gourd: Toss the marinated bitter gourd slices in the seasoning mixture until they are evenly coated.
Frying: Heat oil in a frying pan. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the coated bitter gourd slices and fry until they turn golden brown and crispy. Alternatively, you can bake or air fry them for a healthier version.
Serve: Drain the fried bitter gourd on paper towels to remove excess oil. Serve hot as a crispy and flavorful snack or as a side dish with your favorite meal.
