1 & half cups Boiled chickpeas
2 tbsp Olive oil
2 tbsp Tahini
quarter cup Onion
3 pieces Cloves garlic
1 tablespoon Grated ginger
2 tbsp Coriander
2 pieces Green chillies
1 teaspoon Ground cumin
1 teaspoon Ground coriander
half teaspoon Salt
half teaspoon Baking powder
Tips
Ensure the chickpeas are well-drained to prevent the mixture from being too wet.
Adjust the number of chillies based on your spice tolerance.
Serve with a side of fresh salad or a yogurt dip for added flavor.
Directions
Drain and rinse the boiled chickpeas thoroughly.
Finely chop the garlic, ginger, chillies, and coriander.
In a food processor, combine chickpeas, garlic, ginger, chillies, chopped onion, and coriander.Add ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, and baking powder.Pulse until the mixture is well combined but still slightly chunky.
Transfer the mixture to a bowl and add tahini and olive oil.Mix well until everything is incorporated.Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls or patties.
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
Place the falafel balls or patties in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching.
Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
The falafel should be golden brown and crispy on the outside.
Serve the falafel hot with a side of tahini sauce, fresh salad, or pita bread.
