Ingredients
4
0.9 kg Strawberries
400 grams Sugar
quarter teaspoon Salt
1 tablespoon Vinegar
Directions
Wash the strawberries thoroughly, remove the leaves, and cut them into quarters or smaller pieces.
In a non-stick wok, combine the chopped strawberries, sugar, salt, and vinegar. Mix well. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves completely.
Once the strawberries have softened, mash them with a spatula.
Increase the heat to medium and continue cooking, stirring regularly, until the mixture thickens.
Remove any froth that forms on the surface while cooking.
To test the jam's readiness, drop a small amount onto a plate and tilt the plate.
If the jam slides, continue cooking; if it stays in place, the jam is done. Be cautious not to overcook the jam, as it will thicken upon cooling.
