2 tbsp Ghee or oil
1 piece Onion, Chopped
2 tbsp Ginger - garlic paste
1 piece Tomatoes, Chopped
2 pieces Green chili, Chopped
half teaspoon Turmeric powder
half teaspoon Red chili powder
1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
half teaspoon Garam masala
1 cup Masoor dal (soaked)
2 & half cups Water
quarter cup Fresh coriander leaves, Chopped
Salt as per taste

Directions
Heat Ghee/Oil: In a pan, heat the ghee or oil over medium heat.
Sauté Onions: Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
Add Ginger-Garlic Paste: Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and cook for another 2 minutes until fragrant.
Incorporate Tomatoes and Spices: Add the chopped tomatoes, green chili, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seeds, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes soften.
Mix in Masoor Dal: Add the soaked masoor dal to the pan and stir well to combine.
Add Water: Pour in the water, stir, and bring the mixture to a boil.
Simmer: Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the lentils are cooked and tender.
Finish with Garam Masala: Stir in the garam masala and chopped coriander leaves. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
Serve: Enjoy your masoor dal fry hot with rice or flatbread!
