Allergy Advice
This recipe contains Soy Products. People with such allergies should avoid adding such ingredients or try to replace them with better choices.
Ingredients
2
1 & half cups Makhana
2 tbsp Ghee
1 cup Sprouted moth
1 piece Tomato
1 piece Onion
quarter cup Chopped coriander
quarter cup Mithi chutney
Salt as per taste
1 teaspoon Chaat masala
1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
Tips
Feel free to add other veggies like cucumber, bell peppers, or carrots for extra crunch and nutrition.
To make it vegan, use coconut oil instead of ghee.
Directions
Heat a pan over medium heat and add ghee. Once the ghee is hot, add the makhana and roast until they turn golden brown and crispy. Set them aside.
In the same pan, add a little more ghee if needed. Add the sprouted moth and sauté for a few minutes. Add a splash of water, cover, and let them cook for about 4-5 minutes until tender.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the roasted makhana, cooked moth sprouts, chopped tomato, diced onion, mithi chutney, red chilli powder, and salt. Mix everything thoroughly.
Garnish the chaat with fresh coriander. Serve immediately for the best taste and crunch.
Notes
Individuals with soy allergies should avoid moth beans.
Those sensitive to ghee should substitute with a suitable oil.
