1 & half cups Fresh grated coconut
4 pieces Black Pepper
2 tbsp Malvani masala or red chilli powder
half Teaspoons Turmeric Powder
1 tablespoon Coriander Seeds
quarter cup Coriander chopped
1 piece Onion
4 pieces Tirfal (seed removed)
1 tablespoon Kokam aagal or tamarind pulp
1 inch Ginger
4 pieces Garlic
1 cup Water
Directions
In a mixer grinder, combine grated coconut, black pepper, malvani masala, turmeric, coriander seeds, chopped coriander, onion, tirfal, kokum aagal or tamarind pulp, ginger, garlic, and water. Blend everything into a smooth puree. Set aside.

Salt as per taste
1 teaspoon Malvani masala or red chilli powder
half Teaspoons Turmeric Powder
1 tablespoon Ginger,garlic and coriander paste
quarter Teaspoons Tamarind Pulp
Directions
Rub the surmai fish with salt, malvani masala, turmeric powder, ginger-garlic-coriander paste, and tamarind pulp. Let the fish marinate for 20-30 minutes.

Fresh surmai fish works best, but you can use other types of firm white fish as a substitute.
Directions
Heat oil in a pan. Add the prepared coconut puree and sauté for 3-4 minutes, allowing the spices to release their flavors. Adjust the consistency by adding water if needed.
Gently place the marinated fish into the curry. Mix well, cover, and cook for about 5-7 minutes until the fish is cooked through and tender.
